Our puppies are raised in and live with us in our home until they are ready to go to their new homes. They are vet checked (they will come with a vet certificate), micro chipped, wormed, vaccinated (vaccination record will be provided) and registered with Dogs SA - your pedigree will be sent to you via Dogs SA upon transfer of ownership from ourselves to you. Puppies sold as pets are registered on the limited register with Dogs SA. Dogs and Cats Management Boardrequire all puppies born on or after 1/7/18 and residing in South Australia to be desexed by 6 months of age (exemptions are available). We are happy to discuss those exemptions with you further.
We provide an extensive puppy pack which includes but not limited to information on your puppy, grooming and a full diet sheet to take your puppy to adulthood - a copy will be emailed to you prior to picking up your puppy for you to read, a printed copy will be provided to you upon collection of your puppy with the remainder of your puppy pack.
We take care to socialise the puppies as soon as possible with as many people as we can and expose them to as many new experiences and sounds as possible including the beginnings of grooming. As they are raised in our home they are well used to the normal day to day activities of a household from the vacuum cleaner, lawn mower, TV etc. They socialise with the other adult dogs in the household so they start to learn doggie manners.
Our dogs are all house dogs, they sleep inside at night with us (yes even on our beds), Welshies seek companionship and interaction with their families, they are not a breed for just being left in the backyard, we will only place puppies in homes where the puppy will be part of the family.
It is important to us to meet potential families and feel it is important for potential families to meet us and our dogs, We give the puppies all our love while they are with us and we want to keep contact with all our puppies families when they leave us. It is important for us to know how they are developing for the future of our breeding programme and thereby for the breed in general. Plus we love to see photos and hear stories of their adventures. We are also there if you have questions.
Welshies live for approximately 15years, they shed hair - 365 days of the year, as to whether you consider they shed a lot or not really comes down to personal feelings on what is a lot.
