Jemima was the only puppy in our "V" litter but what a fine example of the breed she turned out to be.
To those who know her, Jemima has become a legend in her own lifetime. She is known for her enthusiasm, confidence and personality. Fortunately she has passed these fine attributes on to her offspring. Jemima gained her show title with enthusiasm and style.
Breed specialist judge, Mrs Kay Bryant (UK) wrote in her critique after judging the Welsh Springer Spaniel Club of NSW Championship Show, held on 11/04/09:
"Marshall's Laugharne Viva La Duck This kennel has a very distinct type of excellent quality and this is another typical exhibit. She is a strong yet feminine lady, with super outline and good wide thighs letting her move with drive and extension. Good head and expression.”
Jemima, born in 2007, was awarded Reserve Challenge at the Royal Adelaide Show in 2008 & 2013 (was awarded Challenge Bitch in 2009, 2010 and 2011, 2012, & 2014 and Best Of Breed 2014 - upon which she retired from the show ring. During 2012, 2013 & 2014 the only show Jemima did was the Royal Adelaide Show.
Her prodgeny have succeeded in the show ring producing 6 show champions, Obedience up to CDX standard, Agility, Jumping and Tracking (producing a Tracking Champion Dual Ch (T) Laugharne Exotic Gem OMaesgwyn).
Certainly a girl to be very proud of.
