Bridie, or the Beautiful Bridie to her closest friends and admirers, is from the first litter we bred from frozen semen imported from Don's Kennels in Sweden. We will be forever grateful to Annica and Karin (Don's Kennels) for all the help they gave us when we contacted them about the possibility of importing semen from their dogs.
Bridie gained her Conformation title in 1999. She was never enthusiastic in the show ring - she perfected the tragic "They beat me, you know" look on her face while Beth usually left the ring with a "Don't tempt me!" look on hers. However, Bridie was awarded the Challenge Bitch and Best of Breed at the Royal Adelaide Show in September, 2000 from an entry of 19 Welsh Springer Spaniels. She was also awarded the Bitch Challenge at the Royal Adelaide Show in 2002.
For a dog that was less than enthusiastic in the show ring, she romped through her Endurance Test (a distance of 20 km) with ease and without a single tragic look in June, 2001.
